Cosa Visitare Nelle Marche:
If you are a fan of cultural destinations, the Marche is the region for you.
Even in the smallest village you risk coming across some documentation of past eras,
it was only an ancient tumbledown tower or a coat of arms affixed from time immemorial to the walls of a house:

Frontone 8km.
"The Castle is located in the Municipality of Cagli in Abbadia di Naro. The current owners are the De Sirenas who allow access to the public once a month.

 

 

Belforte all'Isauro 36km.
"The castle of Belforte all'Isauro built in the late Middle Ages on a previous Lombard settlement of the 6th century after Christ stands almost to protect the town which lies among the hills of the Marche Apennines precisely in that strip of land that is wedged between the 'Umbria and Tuscany.

 

Mondavio51km.
Set on a hill at 280 mt. above sea level, between the valleys of the Metauro and Cesano rivers, with views that unfold between the Adriatic and the Apennines, Mondavio boasts one of the best preserved historic centers in the Marches.

 

Montelabbate 56km.
Montelabbate extends in the terminal part of the Foglia river valley, 10 km from the Adriatic coast and from the city of Pesaro.

 

San Costanzo 51km.
"The Tower of San Costanzo was built in the second half of the fifteenth century at the behest of Giovanni Della Rovere, similar to the towers of Mondavio and Mondolfo


Urbania: 14Km. there are numerous churches and religious buildings to visit, including the Cathedral of Urbania. Do not forget the Palazzo Ducale and the Palazzo Comunale


Urbino:Km.30 city of art and history, cradle of the Renaissance and birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro. Its historic center will catapult you into the Middle Ages, thanks also to the neoclassical cathedral and the Palazzo Ducale, with an adjoining museum

Fossombrone 31km. Castello di Torricella Ancient town of Roman origins located in the middle Metauro valley, along the route of the ancient Flaminia, closed between the buttresses of the Cesane and the steep northern slope of the Cappuccini hill, 25 km away from Fano and the sea.


 


Ascoli Piceno:
Km. 223 many churches to visit, starting from the Cathedral of Sant'Emidio, continuing with the Palazzo dei Capitani del Popolo and the Torre degli Ercolani
Senigallia:

Fano: km. 60
in Fano you will find not only the imposing Arch of Augustus, but also all the walls.

if you love castles, you cannot miss a visit to Gradara Castle, with the tormented (and tragic, given the ending) love story between Paolo and Francesca


Corinaldo:Km. 59
an ancient medieval town, with all the walkway of the walls to go along and breathtaking views

 

Auditore 57km. It dominates the middle Foglia valley from the top of a rock spur, pictorially dislocated on a slope with a difference in height of about 100 metres. It still retains the ancient walls with two towers and the severe civic tower with a circular base and hexagonal cell (15th century ) which dominates the medieval village. Immediately outside the walls, the parish church houses a painting ("La Pentecost") painted in 1772 by Marino Medici.

 

Candelara 64km.
"The castle of Candelara, with its walls still clearly recognizable today, was built after the year 1000 and is a jewel of military architecture of the 1400s, which was also built by the architect Matteo Nuti.

Cerasa 53km.
The name, Cerasa, apparently dates back to Monte della Ceregia, where the castle was rebuilt after the destruction of the first, called Quercifissa castle and dependent on the abbey of San Paterniano di Fano, as evidenced by a document from 1156.

Monastero di Fonte Avellana Km.47

Jesi: Km.112
Jesi is a treasure trove of history, art and culture in the middle of the hills, halfway between the sea and the mountains. Its origins are ancient: from a Roman colony in 247 BC, it saw the birth of Frederick II of Swabia in 1194 and the composer Giovanni Pergolesi in 1710.

 

Ancona: KM:112 in the capital of the Marches you will find the Cathedral, the Roman Amphitheater, the Arch of Trajan, the Old Lighthouse, the Lazzaretto or Mole Vanvitelliana, the Teatro delle Muse and many museums waiting for you
Pesaro: Km. 68 the Palazzo Ducale, the Piazza del Popolo, the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie and much more

Frontone 34km.
The history of Frontone is above all linked to its Castle, disputed by princes and warriors for the dominion of the surrounding districts and which today represents one of the clearest examples of military architecture of the 11th century..


Cingolii: Km.132 in Cingoli you will not only find the lake, but also an Aquatic Adventure Park.
Here you can try your hand at paths suspended on the trees, on the gorge of the Musone river and which
parallel, the dam wall. Because here there is also the Cingoli dam.

Sant'Angelo in Lizzola 52km.
"It was built starting from 1588 to a design by the architect Giovanni Branca; of the original building, almost completely rebuilt after World War II, only the tower remains today, 20 meters high, which dominates the entire town and can be visited, pushing up to the top, from where you can enjoy the splendid panorama of the surrounding valleys

Sassocorvaro 48km
Sassocorvaro stands on a hill overlooking the Foglia river valley. Between Sassocorvaro and its fraction of Mercatale extends an artificial lake, closed by a dam, which bears the name of the aforementioned fraction.
